Bristol firm Stix Drinks are donating 16,000 Vitamin drinks to NHS staff across the UK to keep them hydrated with vitamins.

In association with Bidfood, one of the UK’s largest food distributors, Stix Drinks will be donating 15,000 Vit Stix, 10ml liquid vitamin portions that mix with water to make a vitamin drink, to hospitals across the UK including Southmead Bristol, Birmingham Women & Childrens and Frimley in Surrey.

Packed full of Immunity Boosting Vitamins B5, B6, B12, C, D and Zinc, Vit Stix offer a fantastic way for staff to increase their vitamin intake whilst staying well hydrated and Stix have seen a significant rise in NHS orders as caterers look to boost patient and staff immunity levels.

Demand for the immunity boosting products since COVID-19 has meant the company has had to increase its manufacturing to keep pace, supplying numerous government organisations, retailers and direct customers.

Tom Anderson Dixon, Chief Hydrator of Stix Drinks said “these are unprecedented times and the NHS has been a shining beacon of hope amongst all of the uncertainty. If we are able to donate more Vit Stix we will as we are in awe of the NHS staff and all they are doing to care and protect every one of us. On a placement year with Marks & Spencer, Tom Anderson-Dixon noticed people of all ages bringing bottles of squash into the catering unit, to make a squash drink at the watercooler. Making a coffee with a pot of milk, he suggested “what if we put squash into these portions and kept them by the watercooler?”… An idea was born!

After successfully launching and running Squash Stix, single portions of liquid squash concentrate, business partners Tom & Julia realised that running a business, exercising & socialising left little time to focus on getting the right vitamins through a healthy diet.

Sharing their issues with others and researching the market, they found that they were not alone, and on the back of the success from Squash Stix, they developed Vit Stix to allow them, and others, to conveniently stay hydrated with vitamins designed to enhance both cognitive & physical performance whilst also boosting Immunity.
